Nike have just released a tasty new iPhone app allowing users to get underneath the skin of their city by getting the inside knowledge from residents. Contributors include FGL‘s Benedict Radcliffe and the 14 Bike Co shop even makes a quick appearance in the intro video. Nice project. /A
The Tunnel Jam video seems to be going the rounds today. I had a little snoop around the interweb and found this rather excellent picture set over at Defgrip. /A
I’m honestly not trying to turn this into some kind of kiss ass Nike blog or summat, but they do seem to be throwing a lot of dosh at interesting projects this summer. This time, punters are able to text/twitter the Chalk bot, which drives along in front of The Tour spraying messages for the riders as it goes. Clever stuff. Video here, official page here. /A
More Nike related chatter. This time they have produced a promotional video for the new Air Maxim 1 shoe which features Charlie Dark bombing round London visiting his creative buddies, one of which is none other than Fixed Gear London’s Benedict Radcliffe. The video has a lot of scenes captured with a tilt-shift lens, which makes london look like a model village. I think Uniqlo did it better though. /A
The guys at the 1948 store on Batemans Row have got a sample sale on all weekend. Dave, Ric and myself rode over their to check out the merchandise, I suggest you do the same as there are some deals to be had. Have fun bargain hunters! /A
Nike AF-1 Bike by the Wilson Brothers. Some really nice engineering projects from these two including the new 1948 pop-up store in Shoreditch, London.
