Marathon Run ’10

Looking back at things, this was a bit of a 1 year anniversary ride for us. Happy days. If ever there was a good reason to scrape your arse out of bed at 5am on a Sunday morning then this was it. I couldn’t believe how many people there were waiting at the start when we got there. Really good to see a load of people that I hadn’t for a while. The best thing though was to see every one whipping out their fast bikes instead of their usual trick rides. Odge’s Eddy Merckx is very nice indeed. It was a shame that everyone didn’t make it down The Mall, seems like the po-po’s wised up after the first pack went through. More pics after the jump and the full set over at our Flickr /A

On the corner of 6th Avenue and West 14th Street

Gus just sent me this. He thinks its around the corner of 6th Avenue and West 14th Street, which is kind of in the middle between the bottom of central park and lower east side. He took it over 2 years ago. I thought it was a nice shot. Anyone know if it’s still there? Prolly? Click here for the bigger picture. /R

London to Brighton

Head over to our FlickR to see some shots of the trip I did with a few friends to Brighton a couple of weekends ago. A big well done to everyone that did come, especially those who hadn’t ridden a bike in a few years! Only me and Chaz were fixed but I don’t think we had it the hardest. Joe had a heavy-ass huge wheeled mountain bike with a seat that wouldn’t raise up, hard times. I’d just put my new 38c Vittoria tyres on the night before and rode the 60 odd miles with the front rubbing on my forks which was a bit annoying. A good day, a nice ride and I’m looking forward to doing it again in Summer. Who else is in? /R

I need a new frame…

The second of the fixed freestyle frames has been released and it looks just as sweet as the first. This comes just as I’ve found out that I’ve managed to flare my BB shell on my Plug. Somehow I think I could be waiting a while for one of these. I bet there is a long queue…dammit. /R
