As well as being the main man behind the 14BikeCo. blog Mikey also has a place where he puts all his photography. I spotted these aerial shots of a few of us riding in Elephant and Castle on his dice&dice blog, which is well worth a look. /R
Big thanks to Mon for my hand-sewn Champ Tee! Mon is the creative brains behind a wicked little magazine called Ala Champfest currently on sale in 14BikeCo. Theses tees aren’t available to buy yet and only for mates so I’m extra stoked she’s made me one. Check out the Champ blog here and keep your eyes peeled for Issue 2 which is very close to completion. /R
Loads of stuff was happening this weekend. First it was Benedict Radcliffe‘s exhibition on Thursday down at Number 6 where my good mate Jack works. Then there was the Federal Launch Party on Friday followed by The Bootleg Sessions 4 Premiere at 14BikeCo. on Saturday. Sunday was strictly for recovery purposes only… Click here to see the FlickR set. /R
Some really bloody nice shots of Saturdays premiere at 14BikeCo. by Jonny Winstone. Check the full set out here on his FlickR. /R
Get down to 14 on Saturday or Sunday and go watch Bootleg. The last in the pretty iconic series put together by Burd Phillips. Should be good. Check out Taliban on the flyer. /R
Went down to Kennington Bowl on Sunday after seeing a couple of pictures from the MIXTMEAT lot having fun down there. Met up with the boys from The 5th Floor and later on Oscar from 14 turned up. Angus Sung was around as always and got some great shots. Apologies to him for breaking his flash after overshooting the quarter and bailing into him! And big thanks to LOCKEDCOG for giving us a post – stoked! See the full set at Angus’ FlickR. /R
Yesterday was not a good day. Firstly, the day before, I snapped my saddle clean off the rails while trying to move my wedged seatpost. Not good. Went to see Ted and he said I might have to lose the seastpost in order to get it out. Bye bye Thompson… Then on my way to 14 to try pick up a saddle, my chain snapped. Brilliant. Soon, both these problems were sorted out thanks to Jacob. New hollow pin chain (stronger apparantly) and old bucket seat fitted I set off to meet the boys from MixtMeat. I got there, had a beer, jumped on the bike and promptly threaded my lock ring. Session over before it had even started. But massive thanks to Dunny and Keith (or is that Ringer?) for sorting me out with a new one and fitting it in their front room. I’d have been walking home otherwise. The tees you see here will soon be available to order from The Butchers Shop. I think they look banging! /R
Got a few shots back from a couple of Tuesdays ago when I went riding with the boys from Shop14 and the Americans. Oscar was getting some mad ups off the little hump and Tom managed a grind all the way over the box. This was just before it started raining and we headed to Mr Gauky‘s warehouse where I filmed the little edit we put up last week. Click here for more. /R
Here is a selection of shots from last nights party for Shop14‘s 1 Year Anniversary by Jake Miller. It was such an awesome night. I’m so pissed off I couldn’t stay longer (Rollapaluza you ruined my night!). There’ll be lots more coverage of the event soon. The 5th Floor boys were there in force and I’m hoping that Johnny got some pics of me and Ady racing head to head. Check back soon for a short edit of the night and some lovely fisheye pics. /R
